All over the tree benchmark: the world's energy China Energy Construction
From Zhang Qian out of the plug to Zheng He seven western oceans, the Silk Road, as a bridge connecting Asia and Europe trade, integration of the East and West civilisation of the bond, writing a magnificent and legendary chapter.
Today, a far-sighted strategic concept is gradually evoking the glorious memories of the ancient times in the minds of countless Chinese people. The construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road is becoming a new highlight on the historical coordinates.
From the map, the "Belt and Road" began in China, through Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia and even part of the European region, the East Asia-Pacific Economic Circle, the West Department of the European Economic Circle, covering about 4.4 billion people, focusing on 26 countries and regions.
Pakistan is located at the intersection of "One Belt" and "One Road", and is a strategic market for China Energy Construction's continuous operation. the successful signing of the financing agreement for the SK hydropower station project marks the first opportunity for China Energy Construction to take advantage of the "One Belt, One Road". The successful signing of the financing agreement for the SK hydropower plant project signifies that CECC has seized the first opportunity on the "Belt and Road".
To promote the "Belt and Road" strategy, infrastructure construction is the first step. As the national team and main force of China's electric power and energy construction, CECC, which has made the Three Gorges Hydropower Project, ultra-high voltage and smart grid, ultra-supercritical thermal power units and other monuments of the world's electric power construction, has taken the goal of building an engineering company with international competitiveness, and prioritised the development of international business as an important development strategy for the enterprise, and has long been taking the lead in the "One Belt, One Road" strategy. It has already set sail on the "Belt and Road".
At present, the overseas business of CECC covers 86 countries around the world, with 152 branches and more than 700 projects under construction, initially forming a complete layout of the international market. As the main areas covered by the "Belt and Road", Asia, Africa and Europe are also the most important overseas markets for CECC, with contracted projects accounting for more than 70% of the number of its international business projects, which has become the main position of CECC's overseas market.
In the process of "going out", CECC has participated in a number of typical and representative projects along the "Belt and Road" with its strong strength. The six 660,000 kW units of India's Shah Sahib Power Station, which the group participated in the construction of, is the world's largest coal-fired power station under construction, and the EPC general contracting of Jordan's Atalat Oil Shale Power Station is the largest oil shale power station project contracted by a Chinese enterprise outside the country. CECC has also constructed Pakistan's largest N-J hydropower station and Myanmar's largest Yeya hydropower station, and participated in the construction of Sri Lanka's largest Putram coal-fired power station, Iraq's largest Washid oil-fired power station, and Africa's largest GDHA 500kV transmission and substation project. ...... The first EPC project of a Chinese enterprise in East Africa! --- FAN hydroelectric power station in Ethiopia, China's first international DC transmission project --- Heihe back-to-back converter station of China-Russia DC interconnection, China's first nuclear power export project --- Pakistan Chashma nuclear power plant and other milestone projects in the history of China's and even the world's electric power development, there is also a reliable figure of CEC's self-confidence and action.
It is understood that in 2014 alone, China Energy Construction's power projects directly contracted with foreign countries accounted for more than 30% of similar projects of Chinese enterprises, of which, hydropower projects in China's enterprises contracted with similar projects occupy half of the rivers and mountains.
Technology Leadership: China Construction Writes "China's Business Cards"
The "Belt and Road" is a major innovation for China to transform its advantages in production capacity, technology and capital, experience and model into advantages in market and cooperation, and to open up in an all-round way.
China has accumulated a wealth of experience in the field of power planning, design, construction and other energy construction, the world's leading technology level, equipment manufacturing has also had the strength to export overseas.
January 5, the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau Standing Committee, Premier Li Keqiang visited the Guangdong Provincial Electric Power Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and learned that the Institute in Vietnam to implement the EPC thermal power projects using equipment localisation rate of 95%, he was pleased to say: "Thank you for China's equipment 'to go out'! Thank you for creating conditions for Chinese equipment 'going out', and also giving Chinese equipment and Chinese standards a business card in the world!" All along, CECC has been playing the advantages of electric power planning, survey and design, and actively promoting the internationalisation of China's electric power standards by taking high-end consulting and planning and design as the forerunner. "We are always committed to transforming from adapting to international standards to participating in the formulation of international standards, and endeavouring to improve the discourse and competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the international power industry." Wang Jianping, chairman of the board and secretary of the Party committee of China Energy Construction, said.
At present, most of the more than 700 international engineering projects under construction by China National Energy Corporation (CNEC) adopt Chinese standards in whole or in part. The 230-kV power grid project in northern Laos, designed by Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute Co Ltd using Chinese standards, and the largest Sesaralong irrigation project in Laos, constructed by China Gezhouba Group Co Ltd with Chinese construction standards for the water conservancy industry, are of excellent quality and benefits.
In Europe, China Electric Power Engineering Consultant Group North China Electric Power Design Institute Engineering Co., Ltd. acquired more than 90% of the equity of Lithuanian State Grid Design Institute Company, occupying more than 50% of the market share of Lithuania's grid business, laying a solid foundation for the export of Chinese standards and occupying the high-end market. In Central Asia, CECC has carried out and completed studies on power grid projects in five Central Asian countries, designed a 500kV transmission project in Tajikistan and a 220kV transmission line project for the southern power grid in Kyrgyzstan, successfully bringing "Chinese standards" into Central Asia.
Guangdong Electric Power Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. used more than 80 Chinese design, manufacturing, commissioning and acceptance standards in the coastal power plant project in Vietnam. Guangdong Thermal Power Engineering Co., Ltd. changed 92 out of 115 standards of the Atalat Oil Shale Project in Jordan to Chinese standards, which were recognised by the owner.
In addition to this, the proportion of domestic equipment exported in Vietnam's coastal power plant project reached more than 95 per cent, and about 67 per cent of the equipment and materials in the Atalat project were made in China, which drove the export of domestic raw materials, electromechanical products, technical services, finance and other industries.
In the construction of the GD-3 hydropower project in Ethiopia, the largest EPC project in East Africa, China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. purchased and exported domestically made shield machines, breaking the monopoly of developed country's manufacturers on the international market of high-end products of shield machines. In the N-J hydropower project in Pakistan, China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. procured and installed a large number of domestically-made mechanical and electrical products and junction products during the construction, and exported power transmission and transformation products and services.
Taking Chinese technology and Chinese manufacturing as the entry point, in the construction of "Belt and Road", China National Energy Construction Corporation (CNEC), through the implementation of international EPC general contracting projects led by design, relying on technological and brand advantages, and enhancing the ability of resource integration, has driven the export of domestic financial capital, high-end equipment, core technology, advanced management and mature standards, and has established a strong market position in the "Belt and Road" in China. It will continue to build the brand of Chinese energy construction and Chinese standards in the "Belt and Road" region.
