However, the design of a sandblasting room also requires some attention.
Firstly, baffles should be installed at both the air inlet and suction outlet of the sandblasting room to prevent dust spillage or abrasive material from being sucked into the ventilation system.
Secondly, the air discharged from the sandblasting cleaning device must be purified by the dust removal device and then discharged into the atmosphere, and the dust accumulated in the dust removal device should be easy to remove and not allowed to pollute other working areas.
In addition, the air velocity in each section of the ventilation system must be correctly selected. Too low or too high air velocity in the pipeline will bring about adverse effects, such as clogging, energy consumption, and wear and tear of the equipment.
The door of the cleaning room can be opened only after the sandblasting operation has stopped, and the work of the ventilation system can be stopped only after the dusty air in the room has been eliminated.
The dusty air in the ventilation system flows in the ventilation ducts, and the ventilation ducts should be designed to reduce the resistance so that the dusty air disappears soon after the blasting work is finished.
Finally, baffles should be installed at both the air inlet and the opening of the blasting room, so that the abrasive and dust particles during blasting will fly to the neighbouring work area as little as possible under the joint action of the air inlet airflow and the baffles, and the dust will not spill out of the air inlet or the opening.
In addition, some air volume adjustment valves can be set on the ventilation pipe to adjust the air volume as needed, so that the air velocity in the system reaches a reasonable level.
